Sunshine!

I took this card outside to photograph it and there was a LOT of sunshine (which was good) and a LOT of wind (not so good!) I had to leap up and rescue it from around the yard several times before I could snap this shot!  I was glad nobody could see me as I would go to grab it just as it would fly off a few feet further, cute.
This was a make and take at our BLISS demonstrator team meeting last week - it uses a stamp set, Feel Goods, we got at Founder's that will be in the Occasions mini in the New Year. I really love the words on this sentiment, so true! I simply embossed the greeting on Watercolor paper and then used my Aquapainter and ink from the lid of my ink pads to add color. The Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon finished off my five minute card.

Items used:
Feel Goods stamp set
Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon
Watercolor Paper
Stamp Set
Pretty In Pink card stock
Aqua-painter
Regal Rose ink pad
Pumpkin Pie ink pad
Daffodil Delight ink pad
Versamark ink pad
Pewter embossing powder

Shake your Booty!

I saw this adorable witch's broom that somebody had made at Founder's Circle and  I knew I had to case it for my stamp club girls. Even people who don't have trick or treaters would love to give this to a friend don't you think? Personally I like anything that celebrates us shaking our booty, don't you?! Haha!

Want to know how to make it? It was easy!
First take your sucker and color the stick with a Sharpie, take a coffee filter (I had to SEARCH to find the natural color, don't get me started on shopping in Bayfield again...!) ANYWAY - poke a hole in the center and slide it down over the lollipop. Snip the coffee filter all the way around. I put a little glue inside and then wound some linen thread around it to hold it in place.
Stamp the witch's boot from the super-cute stamp set, Bootiful Occasions, in Staz-on and punch out using the 2 1/2" circle punch, slice off one edge and adhere to a punched out 2 1/2" of circle designer series paper (I used the Howlingstooth & Scaringbone DSP from the Holiday catty, love it!)
Color in using Tangerine Tango and Gumball Green markers and add a punched Champagne Glimmer Circle to add a little bling.  Stamp the greeting and punch out using the Large Oval Punch, adhere to an Oval Scallop punched out of Tangerine Tango.

Easy Peasy and THANK YOU to the creator, but I don't know who that was, if you know please let me know so I can credit her.

Have a wonderful day, looking forward to Halloween!

Small Town Frustration!

Here are two projects for my upcoming Googlie Ghouls Halloween treat class.. I really wanted to tuck a couple of Ghirardhelli chocolates into the double treat holder but all I could get in Bayfield was a Twix, so sad! Of course they taste great but they just don't LOOK the same do they?   Don't you love how I wound crochet thread around the little mummy so he looks like he's unraveling? I copied that from an idea I saw at Founder's, so cute!

Would you like to try this class? It will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd, at 1 or 6:30 p.m. The little glassine bags in the kit are very easy to put together so we won’t be making them in the class, instead I will be providing candy plus all you need to make 4 adorable extra special spooky projects using a couple of pieces from your kit along with some additional supplies!

There are 2 options for this class:
  • $20 which includes the Googlie Ghouls “kit” that has10 vellum bags, 10 lengths of pumpkin pie baker’s twine, 20 die cut designer shapes and 50 googlie eyes!
  • For just $9 more you will ALSO get the matching stamp set too!
Of course you can just buy the kit or the bundle direct from my store at www.brendamarshall.stampinup.net
(This will have the kit contents listed above, but not the additional supplies for these extra projects)

Have a great week & I look forward to stamping with you soon! Brenda
